R&P Post 20: My Music Video timeline

After analysing our lyrics and pooling together all of our influences and inspirations, it is time for us to create a timeline to give us a structure that our music video will follow. We want to do this before we create the shootboard because it is important that we get down the timings down so that we can make technical decisions before we get into the creative process.

Below is a brief timeline for our music video.

We plan on cutting down our song so that it meets the criteria of being 3 minutes long. I have taken the liberty to create a revised, more visual representation of our timeline with moving images.

This timeline will be helpful to us in the future when we edit our footage in the post-production phase. We have a clear structure and know what visuals we want at each point in time. Our next step is to produce our storyboard that will take the fundamental ideas from our timeline and turn it into a representation of shot types, shot durations and any other visual representation.
